Brooke Anderson

Brooke is a Mental Health Practitioner who has a passion for working with late adolescents, adults, couples, and families who may be struggling with a variety of issues related to mental health and well-being. Areas of passion include relational issues, domestic violence, trauma, anxiety, depression, suicide, co-dependency, and low self-esteem. She believes an important aspect of therapy is building a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship in order to enhance the client’s ability to explore, process, and gain understanding and control into their presenting issues. Brooke utilizes an integrative approach combining multiple techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy, person-centered, dialectical behavioral therapy, and solution focused therapy. Brooke believes it is important to meet the client where they are at, to sit in the trenches together, and to celebrate in the successes. With an empathetic, warm, and nonjudgmental approach, Brooke will strive to help establish healthy self-esteem, positive cognitions, healthy relationships, and empowerment back into the lives of her clients.

Kerry is a licensed psychologist. She has been in the field of mental health for 28 years. She specializes in anxiety, depression, and post-partum concerns but also offers a general practice seeing many additional issues at hand. She works with couples, individual adults, adolescents and children as young as 8 years old. Kerry is trained in EMDR, Love and Logic Parenting, and has expertise in chemical dependency. She employs a holistic approach and often uses CBT along with solution-focused and mindfulness-based therapeutic strategies. She integrates these methods based on the unique client and does not believe in a “one technique fits all” approach. Kerry is down to earth, non-judgmental, and easy to talk to. Through collaborating together, Kerry helps clients move toward empowerment, inner strength, and personal growth and wellness.

She applies solution-focused, self acceptance and commitment, and CBT techniques. Jodi assists clients in changing destructive thinking patterns and behaviors to establish increased confidence and a greater sense of peace and wholeness. Her special interests include anxiety, depression, relational issues, codependency, life transitions, and women's issues including those related to pregnancy, postpartum health, and fertility.

She puts great value on the therapeutic relationship and strives to create a safe, comfortable space for all to find healing. Kate uses an integrative approach to therapy and knows one model does not fit all. She is specifically trained in attachment therapies for children and families, behavior management, Trauma Focused CBT, and several play therapy techniques.

As a clinical psychologist, Dr. Boehnert has been working with those with medical problems, chronic pain, mood disorders, anxiety and PTSD since 1984, when she completed her post-doctoral fellowship in behavioral medicine at UM Medical School and went on staff for 8 years. “Dr. B” has also provided pre-surgery evaluations and treatment for seasonal affective disorder (SAD) to those in underserved areas such as Alaska (9 years); Humboldt County, CA; and with VA Montana Home-Based Primary Care. Most recently, she served as the Pain Psychologist at United Pain Center in St. Paul. At RPS, she continues providing these services; as well as working with ‘eldersʼ and issues in aging; and those encountering ‘burnoutʼ/ work stress.

Since graduating, she has gained experience working with individuals, couples, and adolescents. Through her work in different professional settings, she provided clients with individual independence skills in order to help her clients maintain their autonomy; she developed skills in working with people who were a risk to themselves or others and needed to have a more intensive, focused treatment in order to successfully rejoin their communities; she has had extensive training in crisis intervention and response; she has developed skills in the individual therapy setting by helping people who experience challenges with trauma, depression, suicidal ideation, anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, and individuals who have previously been diagnosed with mood and personality disorders.

Dr. Evans is a licensed psychologist who specializes in the treatment of sleep problems. She evaluates and treats insomnia and other sleep disorders such as circadian rhythm disorders (sleep schedule problems), helping with adjustment to wearing CPAP for sleep apnea, and pediatric sleep disorders including bedtime refusal and inability to sleep independently. She can also evaluate and help determine the need for an overnight sleep study. Dr. Evans utilizes evidence–based cognitive–behavioral strategies that are non-pharmacological, safe and highly effective in treating sleep problems. She sees children as young as 18 months, adolescents, adults and older adults. She is able to see you in clinic or via secure face-to-face visits through your computer or smartphone. She greatly enjoys the challenge of understanding and treating sleep problems and partnering with clients in a relaxed and supportive environment to help you or your child get a better night’s sleep.

Dr. Evans uses an integrative approach to therapy, which incorporates relational therapy, DBT, and CBT techniques, to meet each client’s unique needs and goals. Dr. Evans believes supportive, healthy relationships (with family, friends, partners, ourselves) are central to mental health and well-being. I have been a nurse for over 17 years and have been working as a family practice provider at a small community clinic in south Minneapolis for the last 4 years. I recently completed my degree and certification in psychiatry to better serve my patient's whole body and mind. I have experience in working with all age groups and I pride myself on being able to find the most appropriate and therapeutic treatment plans including medications when necessary along with psychotherapy treatment modalities. With my extensive nursing and family practice background, I am equipped to treat the whole person. I am an active listener and I want to know what each individual patient has to say about and for themselves. We will work together as a team to get each patient feeling their best. I am a registered health care practitioner for the MN Department of Health Medical Cannabis program. I am happy to assess your needs and qualifications for acceptance into this program. All of these therapies are designed to assist individuals in processing trauma, empower themselves and replace negative sensations with neutral or positive sensations. My name is Nancy Westman and I am a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specializing in adolescent and child psychiatry (though I work with all ages). My extensive training in both medication management and psychotherapy allows me the freedom and flexibility to weave therapeutic approaches into medication management sessions. Underlying all my work with individuals and families is a foundation of open communication and a therapeutic relationship. I view individuals as a “whole,” with the understanding that our biology, social context, spirituality and community make us who we are. I frequently integrate these issues along with nutrition, exercise and lifestyle to support mental health.

On her days off, you can find her hiking with her dog or booking cheap flights to new places.

Outside of the office, I coach cheerleading at STMA for their middle school competitive team and volunteer at the Children's Hospital. On my days off, I like to hang out with friends and relax in any way that I can. I love to relax by going for a walk, bike ride, or just watching Netflix.
